Foodshare was honored to host 170 Aetna interns from across the country this past June as part of the “Inpsire U” Day. Interns took over our Bloomfield facility and rotated through different stations: sorting donations of meat, grocery items and produce, and preparing mesh bags that Foodshare uses to efficiently pack produce. This enthusiastic group sorted enough food to provide over 20,000 meals!
A big thank you to the volunteers and staff members from Aetna for taking time to give back to the Greater Hartford community!
