Bloomfield, CT

Foodshare is pleased to welcome Cherie L. B. Trice as the Director of Giving and Major Gifts Officer. Cherie joins Foodshare after over 20 years at Key Private Bank in Hartford. She will develop and manage a planned giving program for Foodshare and will oversee the Giving Department.

“We are thrilled to have Cherie join our team here at Foodshare. Her background in banking and community service makes her a perfect choice to lead our major gifts program. Foodshare has such a vibrant and diverse base of donors, I know they'll enjoy working closely with Cherie,” said Jason Jakubowski, president and CEO, Foodshare.

Cherie most recently held the position of Vice President, Senior Trust Officer, establishing and nurturing high net worth client relationships in the Greater Hartford area. In addition to Key Private Bank, Cherie previously held positions at First Niagara and Trust Company of Connecticut as a portfolio manager and estate settlement officer. She has a strong knowledge of investment vehicles and charitable estate planning tools. “It is my goal as the Director of Giving to help foster a connection between the people we serve and the people who support us so generously in our mission” said Cherie.

Cherie earned a Bachelor of Science from Southern Connecticut State University, New Haven, as well as a Master of Arts in Counseling from University of St. Joseph, West Hartford. She earned her Certified Trust Financial Advisor designation in 2001.

About Foodshare

Foodshare is leading an informed, coordinated response to hunger in our community. Foodshare is the Feeding America food bank serving Connecticut’s Hartford and Tolland counties, where 127,000 people struggle with hunger. In partnership with the food industry, donors, community leaders and volunteers, Foodshare works to maximize access to nutritious food and other resources that support food security. Last year, Foodshare distributed nearly 12 million meals worth of food to a network of 300 local food pantries, meal programs, and Mobile Foodshare sites. And, because hunger is bigger than food, Foodshare collaborates with antihunger organizations, policy makers, and the broader community to build effective solutions to end hunger.

Foodshare is changing what it means to be a food bank. For more information, visit www.foodshare.org, like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter.
